Robinson, 72, of Tyler, Texas, were held at 2 p.m., Sunday, April 26, in Burks-Walker-Tippit Funeral Chapel in Tyler, with Dr. Paul Powell officiating. Burial was at Clover Hill Cemetery in Wood County, Texas. Mr. Robinson, a former resident of Shreveport, died Friday night, April 24, 1987, in a Tyler Hospital, following a short illness. He was born May 36?, 1914, in Hornbeck, La. He was a retired deputy Fire Marshall for the State of Louisiana. He was a veteran of the U. S. Navy, and a member of the Masonic Lodge, the American Legion, and the V. F. W. Survivors include one sister, Mrs. Stella Dowden of Hornbeck; and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers are Marlin Dowden, Billy Dowden, Gail Robinson, Ronnie Dowden, Tommy Ray Dowden, Truitt Ingram, Gayle Ingram, and Bryan Ingram. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
