Mr. Gene Rivers

  Mr. Gene Rivers, 79, of Many, died Friday, Jan. 3 at Sabine Medical
Center in Many.

  Funeral services were held at 11 a.m Monday, Jan. 5 at St. Joseph
Catholic Church in Zwolle with interment following at St. Joseph
Catholic Church Cemetery. Father David Richter officiated. Rosary
services were held at 6:45 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 4 with prayer vigil
followed at 7 p.m. at Warren Meadows Funeral Home in Zwolle.

  Survivors include one sister, Mrs. Clara Garcia of Zwolle; three
brothers, Melvin Rivers, Andrew "Peanut" Rivers and Joseph Rivers,
all of Silsbee, Texas and numerous nieces and nephews.

  Pallbearers were Benny Spurlock, Steve Beason, Jeff Ezernack, Mike
Ebarb, Robert Leone and Ronnie Ebarb.
