George W. Rivers, Sr.

  George W. Rivers Sr., 73, of Pleasant Hill, died in Pleasant
Hill on Friday, April 18, at 2:30 a.m., following a short
illness.

  Rivers is survived by his wife, Ethel Rivers of Pleasant Hill;
three sons, George Rivers Jr., Campti, Albert J. Rivers, Bever,
Okla., and Gerald E. Rivers, Copperas Cove, Tex.; two daughters,
Mrs. E. B. Wright, Many, and Mrs. Lloyd Geist, Nathrop, Colo.; a
sister, Mrs. Nancy Ferguson, Zwolle; 21 grandchildren, and 3
great grandchildren.

  Funeral services were conducted at the St. Joseph Catholic
church on Sunday, April 20, at 1 p.m., with Father Couvillian,
and Father Robitille officiating. Burial was in the St. Joseph
Cemetery, under the direction of the Warren Meadows Funeral Home.

  Pallbearers were Fred Rivers, Herbert Rivers, Sammy Rivers,
Reising Rivers, and David Rivers.
