Vera Barton Rivers

  Mrs. Vera Barton Rivers, 69, of Zwolle, died on Thursday, March
25, at 8:35 a.m., following an extended illness.

  Mrs. Rivers is survived by three sons, Riley Elmer Rivers of
Mansfield, Robert Webster Rivers of Zwolle, and James Morgan
Rivers of Baton Rouge; two daughters, Mrs. Betty Ruth Self of
Vidor, Tex., and Mrs. Doreatha Pearl Riley of Willis, Tex.; a
brother, Robert W. Barton of Jasper, Tex.; two sisters, Mrs.
Rhoda Thames of Spokane, Wash., and Mrs. Pearl Partin of Sanford,
Fla.; 19 grandchildren, and 7 great grandchildren.

  Mrs. Rivers was a lifelong resident of Sabine Parish.

  Funeral services were held at the Zwolle Church of Christ on
Saturday, March 27, at 10 a.m., with the Rev. George Hook, and
the Rev. Shelton Berryman officiating. Burial was in the Zwolle
Cemetery, under the direction of the Warren Meadows Funeral Home.
