John Mosely Roberson

  Services for Mr. John Mosely Roberson, 74, of Converse, were
held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, January 22?, at the Fellowship Baptist
Church in Converse. The Rev. M. H. Roach officiated. Burial was
in Oak Grove Cemetery in Converse. Plans were under the direction
of Drewett Funeral Home in Mansfield, La.

  Mr. Roberson died Sunday, January 20, 1985, in Pleasant Hill,
La., after a short illness. He was a resident of Converse for
twelve years, and was employed with Arkla Gas.

  He is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Virginia M. Cowles of North
Little Rock, Ark.; five grandchildren, John L. Roberson II of
Shreveport, La., Russell W. Cowles of Lake Jackson, Texas, David
Cowles of Salina, Kansas, Jerry Cowles of North Little Rock,
Ark., and Elizabeth Ann Beard of Baton Rouge, La.; three sisters,
Iva Bell Reddin, Mable Wolfe, and Ann McKinney of Pine Bluff,
Ark.
