All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** Richard Rivers, Jr. (Photo) Richard Rivers, Jr., 72, of Zwolle, died in the Highland Hospital in Shreveport, Monday, Sept. 9, 1985, at 5:50 a.m. Funeral services were held Thursday, Sept. 12, at 1 o'clock p.m., in the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Zwolle, with Father Earl Provenza officiating. Interment was in the St. Joseph Cemetery, under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home of Many. Rosary was held Wednesday, Sept. 11, at 8 p.m. Surviving relatives are seven sons, Jimmy Rivers, Johnny Rivers, Patrick Rivers, Phillip Rivers, Danny Rivers, and Richard Rivers, all of Shreveport, and Benny Rivers of Zwolle; two daughters, Delores Clayton of Shreveport, and Cathy Britt of Taylor, Ark.; two brothers, Clyde Rivers, and Reasing Rivers of Zwolle; 20 grandchildren; and five great grandchildren; 38 nieces and nephews. Mr. Rivers was preceded in death by his wife, Mrs. Cuba Mae Rivers; and one son, Lester Rivers. Pallbearers were Milton Lewis, Terry Leone, Joseph Clarence Parrie, Caleb Rivers, James Clayton, and Phillip "Joey" Clayton. Honorary pallbearers were Lester Rivers, Steven Rivers, and Danny Rivers Jr.
