Rivers, husband of Mrs. Lena Rivers, died Monday, Nov. 17, in a Tyler, Texas hospital. A retired lumberman, he was a resident of Frankston 11 1/2 years, a deacon of First Baptist Church of Frankston, and an army veteran of World War II. He was a former resident of Sulphur. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Mrs. Shelia Cobb of Deer Park, Tex.; two brothers, Arvin Rivers of Westlake, and Lawrence Harrison Rivers Jr. of Lake Charles; two sisters, Mrs. Pearl Jones of Zwolle, and Mrs. Merle Chisholm of Maitland, Fla.; and two grandchildren. Services were held Wednesday, Nov. 19, in First Baptist Church in Frankston. Burial, under the direction of Thompson Funeral Home of Frankston, was in Zwolle Cemetery in Zwolle.
