Mrs. Ethel Greer Rivers

  Mrs. Ethel Greer Rivers, 97, of Pleasant Hill, died June 20,
2001, in Shreveport.

  Mrs. Rivers was a former member of the Eastern Star in Pleasant
Hill, and a member of the First Baptist Church in Pleasant Hill.
The family would like to thank the doctors and staff of
Willis-Knighton North MICU.

  Funeral services were held at 10 a.m., Saturday, June 23, at
Spring Ridge Baptist Church, with interment following at Spring
Ridge Cemetery. The Rev. Hoy Leach officiated, and the Rev.
Vernon Stephenson officiated.

  Survivors include one son, W. A. Gaddis of Pasadena, Texas; one
brother, A. E. Greer of Shreveport; six grandchildren; six great
grandchildren; and eight great-great grandchildren.

  Mrs. Rivers was preceded in death by her husband, George Rivers
Sr.; one daughter, Jessie Mae Blankenship; and one son, Howard
Lloyd Gaddis.

  Pallbearers were Jerry Rivers, Albert "Buster" Rivers, Darron W.
Gaddis, Jack Rivers, Dennis Blankenship, George H. Rivers, and
Alton Gaddis.
