  Services for Mr. Manuel Rivers, 89, were held at 10 a.m.,
Saturday, April 3, 1993, at St. Joseph Catholic Church.
Officiating was Father Williams. Burial was at St. Joseph
Cemetery, under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home.

  Mr. Rivers died Friday, April 2, 1993, at Sabine Medical Center
in Many.

  He is preceded in death by a son, Manuel Rivers Jr.

  He is survived by two sons, Joseph Melvin Rivers of Zwolle, and
Bob Rivers of Shreveport; four daughters, Ella Marie R. Sepulvado
of Zwolle, Josephine R. Powers of Zwolle, Johnnie Bell R. Oliver
of Brandon, Miss., Florence Dale R. Smith of Hallville, Tex.; one
sister, Mary Meshell of Zwolle; 18 grandchildren; 30 great
grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
