Theresa Ellene Rivers

  Funeral services for Theresa Ellene Rivers, 44, were held at 3
p.m., Jan. 21, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Zwolle.

  Father Danny Walsh officiated, with Father John Kennedy
assisting. Interment was in St. Joseph's Cemetery.

  Mrs. Rivers passed away on Jan. 18, 1995, in Zwolle.

  Mrs. Rivers was born in Galena Park, Tex., and was a resident of
Zwolle.

  Mrs. Rivers was a member of the American Archaeological Society,
chairperson for the Choctaw Apache Tribe of Ebarb, La.,
Chairperson for the Zwolle Tamale Festival, and a Chairperson for
the La. Forestry Association.

  Survivors include her widower, Vernon Rivers of Zwolle, Maxene
Stephenson, and Oscar Stephenson of Zwolle; two sons, Louis
Rivers, and James, both of Zwolle; three daughters, Elizabeth
Rivers, Tom Rivers, and Rainy Rivers, all of Zwolle; one sister,
Lydia Gorden of Farmersville, Tex.; one brother, Sonny Stephenson
of Maud, Tex.; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
