Robert Rivers

  Robert Rivers, 74, of Zwolle, died Thursday, July 28, in
Pineville, after an extended illness.

  Funeral services were held Saturday, July 28, in St. Joseph
Catholic Church, with the Very Rev. Msgr. Robert C. Friend
officiating. Interment was in St. Ann Cemetery, under the
direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home of Many.

  Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Corine Rivers of Zwolle; four sons,
Robert O. Rivers, Ben D. Rivers, and Johnny L. Rivers, all of
Zwolle, and Kenneth Rivers of Many; eight daughters, Mrs.
Josephine Garcie of Zwolle, Mrs. Bertha Livingston of Shreveport,
Mrs. Hazel Contarip of Zwolle, Mrs. Mary Bell of Longview, Tex.,
Mrs. Ruth Talley of Geneva, Ala., Mrs. Doris Malmay of Bossier
City, Mrs. Thelma Sue Morrison of Hineston, and Mrs. Mageline
Edmonds of Germany; four brothers, Clarence Rivers, Monroe
Rivers, and Andrew Rivers, all of Alexandria, and Melvin Rivers
of Beaux Bridges; four sisters, Mrs. Ruby Tira of Alexandria,
Mrs. Mary Ebarb of Ebarb, Mrs. Florence Sharbono of Alexandria,
and Mrs. Ethel Vanessalburg of Alexandria; 49 grandchildren; and
eight great grandchildren.

  Pallbearers were Don Livingston, Benny Rivers, Billy Ezernack,
Howard Rivers, Johnny Rivers, and Steve Ebarb.
