Dorthea P. Rivers

  Funeral services for Dorthea P. Rivers, 66, of Lake Rayburn,
were held at 1 p.m., Sunday, April 27, at Stringer & Griffin
Funeral Home Chapel in Jasper, Texas. Graveside services followed
at 4 p.m., at the Zwolle Cemetery.

  Mrs. Rivers died Wednesday, April 23, at Jasper Convalescent
Center in Jasper. A native of Zwolle, she attended Zwolle High
School. She was a longtime resident of Rayburn Country on Lake
Sam Rayburn. Her family, and raising five boys was her love.

  She is survived by her five sons, Gerald R. Clary, Jacky L.
Clary and wife Diane, and Gary W. Clary, all of Brookeland,
Texas, James D. Clary and wife Vicki of Willis, Texas, and
Patrick D. Clary and wife Stephanie of Richmond, Virginia; one
brother, James "Sampson" Rivers of Many; one sister, Betty Ruth
Self and husband J. C. of Jasper; eight grandchildren; and two
great grandchildren.

  She was preceded in death by her husband, Osborn Rayburn "Pete"
Clary.

  In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made
to the Lakes Area Hospice in Jasper.
