The Sabine Index - J. A. Raiford

  2 May 1941 - Last rites for J. A. Raiford, age 69 years, were
held Monday evening at 2 o'clock at the church of Jesus Christ of
Latter Day Saints at Corleyville with Elder R. Kent Field
officiating, assisted by Elder Dale H. Johnson and Lady
Missionary Rose Rick of Shreveport. Funeral directed by the
Dennis-Green funeral home. Interment in Mt. Carmel cemetery.

  Surviving are 10 children; J. A. Raiford, Jr., Provencal; Mrs.
Barbara Hatcher, Monroe; Mrs. Alice McCrae, Bossier City; Louis
Raiford, Alco; William Raiford, Many; Therman Raiford, Vernal
Raiford, Shreveport; Miss Mamie Raiford, Mrs. Harvey Knippers,
Many; W. E. Cook, Sugartown; and 22 grandchildren.
