Roberts of Shreveport, were held Monday, December 3, at 11:30 a.m., at Osborn Chapel. Officiating was Rev. Fisk Ray of Willow Point Baptist Church, assisted by Rev. Joe Aulds of Pinecroft Baptist Church. Burial was in Forest Park Cemetery. Mr. Roberts was a native of Zwolle, La., and a resident of Shreveport most of his life. He died at 2 a.m., Saturday, December 1, 1984, at Schumpert Medical Center, after a lengthy illness. He was 52 years old. He was a longtime employee of A. T. and T. Communications. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Bertha I. Roberts; and one daughter, Marie Roberts, both of Shreveport; his mother, Agnes Adams of Marthaville, La.; stepfather, Mr. E. H. Adams, also of Marthaville, La.; one step brother, Dr. T. E. Adams of Garland, Texas; mother-in-law Mrs. Murrell Ingram of Shreveport; and brother-in-law, Richard Ingram, Sr., also of Shreveport; sister-in-law, Mrs. Allie Glyn Brooks of West Monroe; two aunts, Corrine Elliott of Stonewall, La., and Myrtle Elps of Arkansas; and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were Richard G. Ingram, Kenneth L. Williams, J. R. Dawson, Elton Pierce, Bill Elliott, James Donald Elliott, and Doug Gauntt. Honorary pallbearers were employees of A. T. and T. Communications. Masonic services were conducted at graveside.
