I. J. Rice

  Funeral services for I. J. Rice, 88, of Florien, was held Friday,
Jan. 7, at 11 a.m., in the Ebenezer Baptist Church, with the Rev.
J. P. King, and the Rev. V. L. Pruitt officiating. Burial was in the
Ebenezer Cemetery, under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home.

  Mr. Rice died January 5, in Many, after an extended illness.

  He is survived by two sons, Fred and George Rice, both of
Springfield, Oregon; five daughters, Mrs. Gertha Morris of Junction
City, Oregon, Mrs. Ula Lee Conner of Houston, Mrs. Blanche Carroll of
Many, and Mrs. Ahline Salter, and Mrs. Nell Law, both of Florien; one
brother, Harvey Rice of DeRidder, 32 grandchildren; and 31
great-grandchildren.

  Pallbearers were his grandsons.
