The Sabine Index - Cordelia Rhodes Ricks

  2 May 1947 - Mrs. Cordelia Rhodes Ricks, age 68 years, was laid
to rest at Mt. Carmel 2 p.m. Wednesday of last week, following
her death at the family home hear Florien after a short illness.
Rev. M. L. Delk, pastor Mt. Carmel church, conducted the last
rites. Interment was under direction Massingill funeral home.
Pallbearers were George Addison, George Neilan Addison, Harvey
Thomas and her five sons.

  Surviving relatives are: her husband, Rev. J. H. Ricks of
Florien; sons, Grady C. Ricks, Linden, Texas, J. W. Ricks, Port
Arthur, Texas, Marcus R. Ricks, Port Arthur, Texas, J. Cannon
Ricks, Lake Charles, C. Artis Ricks, Florien; daughters, Mrs.
Rena Thomas, Florien, Mrs. Sylvia Addison, Florien; brothers, D.
A. Rhodes, Natchitoches, Marcus Rhodes, Provencal, John H.
Rhodes, Fort Jesup, and 13 grandchildren.
