The Sabine Index - Rev. W. J. Ross

  21 Sep 1956 - Funeral rites for Rev. W. J. Ross, age 82, of
Pleasant Hill were held Thursday at 10 o'clock at the Pleasant
Hill Baptist church with Rev. C. W. Williams officiating.
Interment was in the Spring Ridge cemetery under the direction of
the Drewitt Funeral Home of Mansfield.

  Survivors are widow, Mrs. W. J. Ross, two sons, Hubert Ross of
Wisner and A. B. Ross of Pleasant Hill; three daughters, Mrs.
Victor Chase of Zwolle, Mrs. Albert Walden and Mrs. E. P. Ritter
both of Many; a sister, Mrs. Emma Bostick of Natchitoches; a
brother, W. R. Ross of Pleasant Hill; 12 grandchildren; and 14
great-grandchildren.

  Rev. Ross, one of the oldest preachers in this section,
passed away Wednesday morning.
