The Rev. Newton Smith, the Rev. Jerry Schmucker, and the Rev. Shannon O'Glee officiated. Burial was in Union Springs Cemetery, under the direction of Drewett Funeral Home in Mansfield, La. Mr. Rascoe, a retired carpenter, died Friday, August 1, 1986, in Mansfield, after a long illness. He was Baptist. He is survived by his wife, Mae Terrell Rascoe of Converse; six sons, Wallace T. Rascoe, and Carrol D. Rascoe, both of Shreveport, Buford Rascoe, Thomas Rascoe, and Douglas Rascoe of Converse, Troy Rascoe of Shreveport; five daughters, Nelwyn Davis of Ruston, Clara Hatcher of Mansfield, Betty Andrews of Grand Cane, Delores McAllister of Willis, Texas, and Jan Ryals of West Monroe; two sisters, Amber Farmer of Princeton, and Allie Holsington of Richland, Wash.; 24 grandchildren; and 13 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Lamar Rascoe.
