John Cannon Ricks

  Mr. John Cannon Ricks, 73, of Mt. Carmel, died at St. Patrick
Hospital, Lake Charles, on Jan. 10, 1987, at 3:45 a.m.

  Funeral services were held at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church, on Jan.
12, 1987, at 2 p.m., with the Rev. G. Pat Jackson officiating.
Burial was in Mt. Carmel Cemetery, under the direction of Warren
Meadows Funeral Home.

  He is survived by his wife, Pauline Ricks of Mt. Carmel; four
daughters, Judy Ashe of Houston, Lona Tramonte of Lake Charles,
Paula Landry of Mt. Carmel, and Teresa McHaffie of Sulphur; one
brother, Marcus Ricks of Port Arthur, Tex.; one sister, Sylvia
Addison of Mt. Carmel; 15 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren;
and a host of nieces and nephews.
