J. B. Ricks

  Mr. J. B. Ricks, 77, of Florien, died at Sabine Medical Center
in Many, on Jan. 28, 1989.

  Services were held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day
Saints on Monday, Jan. 30, at 3 p.m., with Rev. Jimmy Evans,
Bishop Michael Slay, and Glenn Hardy officiating. Interment was
at Mt. Carmel Cemetery, under the direction of Warren Meadows
Funeral Home.

  Survivors include Louise Ricks of Florien; two sons, James Ricks
of Florien, and William Ricks of Orange, Tex.; two daughters,
Mary Burson of Ft. Wayne Indiana, and Carolyn Funderburk of
Florien; two sisters, Effie Ricks of Florien, and Willie Mae
Bolton of Peoria, Illinois; three brothers, W. A. Ricks of
Florien, Julian Ricks of Arlington, Tex., and Oscar Ricks of
Mansfield; seven grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.
