Rike, 75, were held at 2 p.m., Monday, March 11, at Rose-Neath's Mansfield Chapel. Officiating was Bro. Roy Mouser. Burial will be in Converse Cemetery. Mr. Rike died Saturday, March 9, in Mansfield, after a lengthy illness. Mr. Rike had been a resident of Converse since 1977. He was a member of the Mitchell United Methodist Church. Mr. Rike was a veteran of World War II, and had worked as a refinery operator in Sulphur. He is survived by his wife, Lola Rike of Converse; one step son, Bob Jacobs of Lake Charles; one sister, Elsie Mae Sebren of Mansfield; two brothers, E. A. Rike of Sulphur, and D. A. Rike of Noble; four grandchildren, Clayton Jacobs of Converse, Eric Jacobs of Sulphur, Jackie Jacobs of Lake Charles, and Beckie Jacobs of Lake Charles; two great grandchildren, J. D. Jacobs, and John Jacobs. Memorials may be made to the Mitchell United Methodist Church.
