Ross, 81, of Minden, were held at 3 p.m., Sunday, September 11, at First Baptist Church in Minden. Dr. Ronald Prince officiated. Interment was in Madden Cemetery, under the direction of Rose-Neath Funeral Home. Mr. Ross died Friday, September 9, at Arcadia Manor Nursing Home, following a lengthy illness. He was a longtime resident of Minden, and a veteran of WWII, where he served in the U. S. Army, retired educator for the Webster Parish School Board, and a member of the First Baptist Church in Minden, and the American Legion. Survivors include his widow, Lorene Ross of Minden; two sons, Larry C. Ross of Waxahachie, Tex., and Randall G. Ross of Kernersville, N. C.; seven sisters, Alma Edwards of Shreveport, Bamel Ross of Many, Gladys Boice of Many, Katherine Derrick of Many, Dean Corley of Many, Bernice Freeman of Mansfield, Charlsie Wright of Baton Rouge; two brothers, E. C. Ross of Many, and Allen (Tink) Ross of Many; and four grandchildren, Stuart, Kelley, Mary Mararet, and Andrew Ross; and numerous nieces and nephews.
