Mr. Deloy C. Ross

  A Vernon Parish businessman, well known in Sabine Parish, died
Saturday, April 29, 1995, in Willis-Knighton Hospital in
Shreveport, after a lengthy illness.

  Funeral services for Deloy C. Ross, 70, of Anacoco, were held
Monday, May 1, at 11 a.m., in the First Baptist Church in
Leesville.

  Mr. Ross started what is known as "Ross Investment" in 1940. He
built the Ross Continental Motor Lodge in Leesville in 1964, and
owned it until 1981.

  He was also a member of several organizations, including the
Leesville Lions Club, the Vernon Arts Council, and the
Leesville/Vernon Chamber of Commerce.

  Burial followed the funeral in the Leesville Cemetery, under the
direction of the Hixson Funeral Home.

  Mr. Ross is survived by his wife, Louise Lenahan Ross; and a son
and daughter-in-law, Ricky and Debbie Ross of Leesville.
