He was born March 16, 1925, in Shreveport, to Carl and Irene (Keene) Ross. He graduated from College of the Pacific in Stockton, Calif., and served in the Army Air Force in WWII. He was a member of Masonic Lodge in Burbank, Calif. He and Shirley Peters were married in San Francisco, Oct. 10, 1978. He was an active member of Lake Pointe Church in Rockwall, Texas. In addition to his wife, Mr. Ross is survived by daughters, Janice McGinley of Chardon, Ohio, Lynda Leman of Allentown, Pa., Catherine Berger of Moorpark, Calif., and Carla Yanase of San Rafael, Calif.; sons, Gary Ross of Rocklin, Calif., and Thomas Ross of Houston, Texas; sisters, Carolyn Meshell of Zwolle, and Mary J. Chamberlain of Mesquite, Texas; nine grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Ross was preceded in death by his parents; son, Michael Scott Yanase; and infant daughter, Paula Ann Ross. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, Oct. 17, at Lake Pointe Church in Rockwall, with the Rev. Gordon Thomas officiating. A 10 a.m. until noon visitation will be held at Warren Meadows Funeral Home in Zwolle, on Thursday, followed by 1 p.m. graveside services at Spring Ridge Cemetery in Pleasant Hill.
