Effie Holcomb Ross

  Funeral services for Mrs. Effie Holcomb Ross, age 83, who passed
away Oct. 4, were conducted at First Baptist Church in Vivian at
3 p.m., Oct. 5, with Dr. R. L. Crawford officiating. Interment
was in Old Vivian Cemetery, under the direction of Warren Funeral
Home.

  Survivors are sons, A. L. Holcomb of Many, H. Chester Holcomb of
Houston; daughters, Mrs. G. J. Murphy of Bossier City, Mrs. J. E.
Anders of Shreveport; brothers, John R. Crye of Cedar Grove,
Horace Frank, and Doc Crye, all of Vivian; sister, Mrs. Mazie
Baker of Shreveport; 19 grandchildren; and 23 great
grandchildren.
