Mrs. W. R. Ross died at her home, after a short illness. Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m., May 13th, in the First Baptist Church, with Rev. Cecil Salley officiating. Burial was in Springridge Cemetery, under the direction of Drewett's Funeral Home. Survivors include three sons, Ellis Magee, Magee, Miss., Will Magee of Fabens, Tex., Joe Magee of Tallulah; and five stepdaughters, Mrs. J. E. Hinkle of Bastrop, Mrs. Milton Bridges of Shreveport, Mrs. S. F. Lee of Robeline, and Mrs. W. I. Emmons, and Mrs. Larry Moffett of Pleasant Hill; 12 grandchildren; and a number of great-great grandchildren; two brothers, Dr. Henry Edmonson of Martin, Tenn., and John Edmonson of Edwards, Miss. Mrs. Ross was known as Mother Emma to all who knew and loved her. She was fortunate to live to such a ripe old age, and we are all thankful that she did, for she was an inspiration to us all.
