W. A. Ricks

  W. A. Ricks, 84, of Florien died Sept. 28, 2002, at Lake Charles
Memorial Hospital. He was an Army Veteran, and served in World
War II.

  Funeral services were held at 10 a.m., Sept. 30, at Mt. Carmel
Baptist Church, with interment following at Mt. Carmel Cemetery.
Dr. Larry DeLoach officiated.

  Survivors include his daughter, Nancy Marcantel and husband
Wendell of Iowa; sister, Willie Mae Bolton of Peoria, Ill.; six
grandchildren; several great grandchildren; and a host of nieces,
nephews, and friends.

  He was preceded in death by his wife, Lovie Ricks; son, Wayne
Ricks; and daughter, Martha Sue Mason.
