Mrs. Ella Russell

  Mrs. Ella Russell, 72, of Mansfield, died Friday afternoon, Dec. 11, in a Shreveport
hospital, after a long illness.

  Survivors include two sons, Rubin Melton of Mansfield, and Herman Melton of Chicago,
Ill.; a daughter, Mrs. A. W. Rains of Bossier City; three stepsons, Amont Melton and
Jessie Melton, both of Mansfield, and J. B. Melton of Shreveport; two stepdaughters, Mrs.
Massie McFarrin, and Mrs. Noville Webb, both of Shreveport; a brother, Curtis Farmer of
Pleasant Hill; a sister, Mrs. J. H. Melton of Shreveport; 10 grandchildren; and one
great-grandchild.

  Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Sunday, in the Belmont Baptist Church with the
Rev. Alfred Mitchell officiating. Burial was in the Belmont Cemetery, under the direction
of the Warren Meadows Funeral Home of Many.
