The Sabine Index - Mrs. Manda Eliza Russell

  30 Apr 1943 - Funeral rites for Mrs. Manda Eliza Russell, age
60 years, (wife of the late B. A. Russell of Bayou Scie) were
held at 2 o'clock last Saturday at Bayou Scie. Rev D. L. Dykes
and Rev. Joe Flanagan of Zwolle officiated. Interment was in the
Bayou Scie cemetery under the direction of the Dennis-Green
funeral home.

  Surviving are nine children, six sons, Floyd, Jeff, Claude and
R. B. of Shreveport, Albon of U. S. Army, Elgin Field, Fla., and
L. J. of Zwolle; three daughters, Mrs. L. P. McFerrin, Mrs. N. D.
Weffifield and Mrs. A. J. Duncan, all of Shreveport; two
brothers, J. J. Self of Merryville and R. J. Self of Darnell; two
sisters, Mrs. S. H. Roe of Marthaville and Mrs. Frank Welsh of
Mississippi; 22 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
