Charles E. Russell

  Charles E. Russell, 87, of Many, died in the Veteran's Hospital
in Shreveport, on Tuesday, Oct. 24, at 4:50 a.m., following an
extended illness.

  Survivors include three sons, Charles Russell of San Antonio,
Tex., Sidney O. Russell of Meridian, Miss., and the Rev. Billie
Russell of Many; three daughters, Mrs. Helen Eicher, and Mrs.
Shelby Rutherford, both of Many, and Mrs. Kirby Hayes of Florien;
his widow, Mrs. Lucy Russell of Many; 17 grandchildren, and 17
great grandchildren.

  Funeral services were held in the Warren Meadows Funeral Chapel
on Thursday, Oct. 26, at 10 a.m., with the Rev. Johnny Rhodes,
and the Rev. E. C. Browning officiating. Burial was in the Fisher
Cemetery, under the direction of the Warren Meadows Funeral Home.

  Serving as pallbearers were his grandsons.
