Don H. Russell

  Funeral services for Don H. Russell, 66, were held at 2:30 p.m.,
Saturday, January 7, at Rose-Neath's Marshall Street Chapel.

  Pastor Lester Jones officiated. Burial was in Centuries Memorial
Park, under the direction of Rose-Neath Funeral Home.

  Mr. Russell passed away Tuesday, Jan. 3, 1995, in Shreveport. He
was born in Junction City, Ark., and was a resident of
Shreveport. Mr. Russell was a floor mechanic, and warehouse
manager for Stephenson Floor Covering, for 36 years. Mr. Russell
was a loving, devoted husband for 45 years, and a loving father
and grandfather. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, served in the
Pacific Theatre during WWII, and was a member of the Carpenters
Local 764.

  He was preceded in death by a son, Don H. Russell Jr.; parents,
P. O. Russell and Cora Hudson Russell; three brothers, Troy,
Leroy, and Van Russell.

  Survivors include his wife, Barbara (Dinky) Russell of
Shreveport; son Don W. Russell of Shreveport; two daughters,
Barbara R. Steed and husband Charles of Shreveport, and Marilyn
R. Saunders and husband Steve of Deadwood, Tex.; brother, John H.
Russell of Zwolle, La.; three grandchildren, Marilyn Wheless,
Jennifer Russell, and Brandon Russell; three step grandchildren,
James, Charles, and Michael Steed.

  Pallbearers were Bill Wooley, Chris Gardner, Cliff Barrington,
Don W. Russell, Wilson Wallace, Lane Stephenson, Bill Stephenson,
and Don Chandler.

  Honorary pallbearers were employees of Stephenson Floor
Covering, and I. B. Snead, and Vernon H. Huffaker.
