Rachal, 76, of Flora, were held at 11 a.m., Feb. 2, at St. Ann Catholic Church. Father Nikki Hussin officiated. Interment was in the church cemetery near Natchez, under the direction of Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home, Natchitoches. Mr. Rachal passed away on Jan. 31, 1994, in Natchitoches Parish Hospital. Mr. Rachal was a native of Montrose, La., and a U.S. Veteran of WWII, a construction superintendent for Browning Homes in Dallas, and a member of St. Ann Catholic Church on Old River. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Ola R. Rachal of Flora; one stepson, Robert K. Vercher of Flora; one daughter, Mrs. Sandra Haney of Carrollton, Tex.; three sisters, Mrs. Leola McClendon, and Mrs. Rita Remedies, both of Many, Mrs. Lucille Barkdale of Dike, Tex.; three brothers, Paul E. Rachal of Woodville, Tex., Joseph Herman Rachal of Vidor, Tex., and Preston Rachal of Orange, Tex.; two grandchildren, Lisa Johnson, and Lori Haney, both of Dallas; one great granddaughter, Ashley Johnson of Dallas; six step grandchildren; and seven step great grandchildren.
