Mrs. Vertie Rogers

  Funeral services for Mrs. Vertie Rogers, 80, were held Sunday,
Dec. 26, at 1:30 p.m., in the Merryville Baptist Church, with the
Rev. Charles Best officiating. Burial was in the Merryville
Cemetery, under the direction of Beauregard Funeral Home.

  Mrs. Rogers died Friday, Dec. 24, in the Heritage Nursing Home
in Baton Rouge.

  Among her survivors is a son, Jennings Rogers of Florien.
