Surviving relatives include her husband, Cecil Rogers of New Orleans; two daughters, Elizabeth Ann Gilliland of Mathiston, Miss., and Mrs. Roma Jewell Bourgeois of Slidell; her father, D. W. Armstrong Sr. of Zwolle; and seven brothers, Rufus Armstrong of New Orleans, Donald Monroe, and Willie Armstrong of Zwolle, D. W. Jr., and Riley Armstrong of Kenner, and Glynn Armstrong of Bossier City; also sisters, Mrs. Lucille Carlton of Ranger, Texas, Mrs. Bessie McComis, Mrs. Charlotte Wedgeworth, and Mrs. Linda Faye Anthony of Many, Mrs. Corene Juneau of Bunkie, Mrs. Jo Ann Youngblood of Noble, and Mrs. Hattie R. Chambers of Zwolle; Betty Jo, Genevieve, Mary, Nelda, and Darlene Armstrong of Zwolle, Mrs. Mable Sanchez of Metairie; and five grandchildren. Funeral services were held Saturday, Sept. 21, at the Aimwell Baptist Church, with the Rev. R. P. Butler officiating. Interment was in the Aimwell Cemetery, under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home.
