Richards, 77, of the Yellow Pine community near Florien, were held on Sunday, March 8, at the Macedonia United Methodist Church, with the Rev. R. M. Harris, and the Rev. George S. Sibley officiating. Burial was in the Yellow Pine Cemetery, under the direction of the Winnfield Funeral Home of Natchitoches. Mrs. Richards died on Thursday, March 6, in the Ruston-Grambling area. Mrs. Faustina Simmons Richards, the daughter of the late Frank Simmons and Exie Godwin Burr, was born on Jan. 1, 1903 in Cedar Grove, Tex. She is survived by six children; Felton G. Richards, Beulah R. Simmons, Seamon Richards, Helen L. Richards, Roosevelt R. Richards, Frank A. Richards; two sisters, Ms. Mary D. Burr, and Tisha Kabey of Berkeley and San Diego, Calif.; one brother, C. L. Burnham of Newton, Texas; one aunt, Mrs. Dan Godwin; twelve grandchildren, Mrs. Martha Ellis, Grambling St. Univ., Mrs. Thelma R. Fleming, Mrs. Floretha R. Williams, Mrs. Eunice R. McNeir of Dallas, Texas, Mrs. Fellonese R. Whitaker of Odessa, Texas, Mr. Felton Richards, Jr., Dallas, Texas, Derrick Frantina, and Tosha of Detroit, and Gwyn, and Yolanda Richards of Washington D. C.; and seven great grandchildren; DeNeene, Dana, Helen, Janet, Jackie, Renee, Donald, and a host of other relatives and friends. Active pallbearers were the Stewards of the Macedonia United Methodist Church. Honorary pallbearers were Felton G. Richards, Seamon Richards, Roosevelt R. Richards, Frank A. Richards, Felton Richards, Jr., Derrick R. Richards. V. G. Kahey, Robert Lee Burr, Dr. Gerald Ellis, David Fleming, James McNeir, Elmo Simmons, Price Whittaker, and Lawrence Williams.
