The Rev. Larry DeLoach officiated. Burial was in the Mount Carmel Cemetery. Pallbearers were Thomas Brookshire, Earl Brookshire, Johnny Richards, Jerry Miller, Billy Rains, Keith Jones, Bill Jones, and Darrel Gilbert. Mr. Richards of Many, died Friday, Oct. 11, 1985, after a lengthy illness, at his residence. Survivors include his wife, Leonnie Richards, Many; five sons, Howard Richards, Lufkin, Tex., Allen Richards, Burr Ferry, A. G. Self, Many, James Richards, Florien, and J. B. Richards, Pleasant Hill; five daughters, Doris Mott, Fay Miller, Lee Vinnie Duncan, Betty Cochran, all of Many, and JoAnn Pillows, Apple Springs, Tex.; four brothers, Eulah Richards, Houston, Tex., Alford Richards, Shreveport, Holley Richards, Alexandria, and Colquet Dutch Richards, Anacortes, Wash.; one sister, Aubrey Broom, Anacortes, Wash.; 34 grandchildren; 40 great grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.
