  Charles Richardson, 84, died Aug. 17, 2002, at his residence in
Florien.

  Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Aug. 19, at Shady Grove
Church of God, with interment following at Pine Knott Cemetery.
James Hickman officiated.

  Survivors include his widow, Verna Richardson of Florien; three
sons, Sonny Richardson and wife Candy, and Sam Richardson and
wife Tink, all of Florien, and Bob Richardson and wife Gina of
Splendora, Texas; two daughters, Pat Johnson and husband Jerry,
and Bess Cauthen and husband Ricky, all of Many; and sister,
Louette Crittenden of Bossier City. He was known as Paw Paw to
his 14 grandchildren; and 19 great grandchildren. He is also
survived by a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

  He was preceded in death by his parents, John Williams
Richardson and Josephine Bradley Richardson; brother, Earn
Richardson; and sisters, Nettie Lee Pearson, Lanell Ray, and
"Little" Bessie Richardson.
