Rev. Bill Hines, pastor of First Baptist Church of Coushatta officiated. Burial will be in Springville Cemetery in Coushatta. Mrs. Roddy died Friday, June 22, at Riverview Nursing Home, after a long illness. A native of Natchitoches, and resident of Coushatta most of her life, Mrs. Roddy was a bookkeeper for American Bank. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Coushatta. She was preceded in death by her father, Claude Lee Wood; and a brother, Edwin Ray Wood. Survivors include her husband, Thomas Roddy of Coushatta; mother, Cleo Grantham Wood of Pleasant Hill; son, Thomas Glen Roddy and wife Ada of Shreveport; sisters, Virginia L. Dykes of Pleasant Hill, Doris Lee Stevens of Belle Chase, Marsha Jeanette Mitchell of Marthaville, and Carolyn Clodette Gewin of Pleasant Hill; brother, Charles D. (Bub) Wood of Coushatta. Pallbearers will be Lewis Hunter Brown, Jack Layfield, Herman Long, H. D. "Nubbin" Pickett, James Smith, and Wilmer Powell. Honorary pallbearers will be Ronnie Stevens, Wayne Stevens, Charles Gary Stevens, Charles (Buddy) Wood, Nathan Gewin, and Joey Mitchell.
