Thurman Reed

  Funeral services for Mr. Thurman Reed, 81, were held at 2 p.m.,
Sunday, in the First Assembly of God, with the Reverends Mike
Howell, and Lamar Carpenter officiating. Burial was in the Ft.
Jesup Cemetery, under the direction of Southern Funeral Home of
Winnfield.

  Mr. Reed, of Winnfield, died at 8:30 a.m., Friday, July 21,
1995, at Winn Parish Medical Center. Mr. Reed was a member of
First Assembly of God, and retired from Valley Electric after 30
years.

  Survivors include his wife, Helen Reed of Winnfield; two sons,
Terry Reed of Winnfield, and Jerry Reed of Many; one sister,
Myrtle Welsh of Mountainview, Mo.; five grandchildren; and three
great grandchildren.
