Rhodes, 79, of Many, died in Many on Tuesday, July 29, at 7:30 a.m., following an extended illness. Rhodes is survived by his widow, Mrs. Martha Rhodes of Many; two sons, Clinton Rhodes of Scotland, and F. D. Rhodes of Corpus Christi, Texas; five daughrers, Mrs. Eunice Pfeffer of El Campo, Texas, Mrs. Carcice Alarid of Espanola, New Mexico, Mrs. Johnnie Sibley of Houston, Texas, Mrs. Della May of Vidor, Texas, and Mrs. Mattie Lea Moreau of Burkesville, Kentucky; two brothers, W. G. Rhodes of Paridise, California, and Sidney P. Rhodes of Corpus Christi, Texas; one sister, Mrs. Palmire Melder of Winnfield; 20 grandchildren, and 16 great grandchildren. Funeral services were held at the Beulah Baptist Church on Thursday, July 31, at 2 p.m., with Brother Ora Sullivan, Brother Kenneth Leach, and Brother Milton Melder officiating. Masonic graveside services were conducted at Beulah Cemetery. Burial was under the direction of the Warren Meadows Funeral Home.
