Mrs. Della C. Rhodes

  Mrs. Della Rhodes, 86, died in Shreveport, Sept. 5, after an
extended illness.

  Mrs. Rhodes is survived by four sons, Ottis Rhodes of
Shreveport, Roy Rhodes of Houston, Tex., Ray Rhodes of Whittier
Calif., and Hollis Rhodes of Shreveport; a daughter, Mrs. Opal
Russell of Shreveport; three stepsons, Levi Reese of Robeline,
Cecil Rhodes of Shreveport, and Arthur Rhodes of Orange, Tex.; a
step daughter, Mrs. J. H. Hortman of Grand Rapids, Mich.; 46
grandchildren; and a number of great grandchildren.

  Funeral services were held at the Ft. Jesup Baptist Church,
Sept. 7, with the Rev. Jerry Schmucker officiating. Burial was in
the Ft. Jesup Cemetery, under the direction of Warren Meadows
Funeral Home of Many.

  Pallbearers were the grandsons, Johnnie Rhodes, Elvin Rhodes,
Harvey Rhodes, Elmer Reece, David Rhodes, and Lewis Rhodes.
