Ritter, 78, of Leesville, were held Friday, Nov. 22, 1996, at 11 a.m., in the Beauregard-Vernon Funeral Home Chapel. Officiating was Rev. John Burns, and James Herrington. Interment was at Antioch Cemetery in Florien, under the direction of Beauregard-Vernon Funeral Home in Leesville. Mr. Ritter passed away Wednesday, Nov. 20, at the V.A. Medical Center in Alexandria. He was a native of Negreet, a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, an operator for the Fort Polk Transit System, worked in the timber industry, and was a member of the First United Pentecostal Church of Leesville. He is survived by his wife, Delmarie Stark Ritter of Leesville; one son, Johnny R. Ritter of Anacoco; one daughter, Linda Joyce Santos of Anacoco; one brother, Robert Ritter of Burr Ferry; one sister, Clara Isgitt of Leesville; five grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.
