Mary Gertrude Rule

  Mary Gertrude Rule, 87, of Hemphill, Tex., died Sunday morning,
July 30, at the Mary Dickerson Hospital in Jasper, after a long
illness.

  Services were at 3 p.m., Monday, July 31, at the First Baptist
Church of Hemphill, with the Rev. Clarence Howell, assisted by
Brother Billy Gene Walker, officiating. Burial was in the
Hemphill Cemetery, under the direction of the Starr Funeral Home.

  Survivors include four sons, Robert N. Rule of Greenville, Burt
Rule of Zwolle, La., Elmo Rule of Jasper, and Glen Rule of
Hemphill; one daughter, Mrs. Jere Gallup of San Antonio; ten
grandchildren; and 14 great grandchildren.
