Joel W. Rawls

  Joel Washington Rawls of Marthaville, died Friday, July 12, at
his home following a lengthy illness.

  Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Sunday, July 14, in the
Jennings Temple in Marthaville, with the Rev. Sam Mitchell, and
the Rev. Moody officiating. Burial was in the Bethany Cemetery,
under the direction of the Rockett-Nettles Funeral Home of
Coushatta.

  Survivors include his widow; a daughter, Mrs. Myrle Birdwell of
Marthaville; a son, Orba Rawls of Germany; two brothers, Robert
Rawls of Robeline, and N. L. Rawls of Marthaville; five
grandchildren,. and six great grandchildren.
