Mr. Rials was a native of Many, where he was born April 15, 1928. He was employed in the oilfield business in Lafayette, for most of his life, and owned an oilfield service company, when he retired in 1992. Upon retirement, he moved to Many to become a cattle rancher. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Florien. Funeral services were held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, May 15, at First Baptist Church of Florien, with interment following at 4 p.m., at Lafayette Memorial Cemetery. The Rev. Bobby Franklin, and the Rev. Bill Hines, and Mr. Tom Poche' officiated. Survivors include his widow, Betty Montgomery Rials; son, Guy Rials of Many; daughter and son-in-law, Brenda and Tom Poche' of Lafayette; and two granddaughters, Whitney and Michal Poche' of Lafayette. Mr. Rials was preceded in death by his son, Michael Wayne Rials; his mother and father, Ida and Chris Rials; sister, Irene Allen; and brother, James Rials. Other surviving relatives are his twin brother, Ray Rials and wife Elaine of Lumberton, Texas; brother Floyd Rials and wife Tara of Vidor, Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews.
