Ryals, 58, of rural Concordia, were held Friday, Oct. 4, 1996, at 10 a.m., at Chaput-Buoy Funeral Chapel. Officiating was Stanley Morris. Interment was in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Concordia, with military rites by Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 588. Mr. Ryals passed away Tuesday, Oct. 1, at his home. He was born Nov. 13, 1937, in Noble. He was a retired Air Force Technical Sergeant, and Vietnam War veteran. He was an aircraft maintenance instructor for Lockheed Aircraft International in Saudi Arabia for the past 17 years, and was a life member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 588, Concordia. Mr. Ryals is survived by his wife, Barbara A. of Concordia; three sons, Jim, Chuck, and Jerrod, all of Concordia; two brothers, Jack of Mansfield, and William of Converse; four sisters, Dorothy Gamelin, and Marjorie Paul, both of Converse, Clara George of Mansfield, and Francis Jones of Mooringsport; and four grandchildren. Memorials may be made to a charity of donor's choice.
