Rials, 80, of Longview, Texas, were held Monday, Dec. 23, 1996, at 2 p.m., at Gandy Baptist Church. Officiating was Rev. Randy Carter of Longview, assisted by Rev. Jerry Ford of Florien. Interment was at Florien Cemetery, under the direction of East Texas Funeral Home, and Les Fontaine Funeral Home. Mr. Rials died Friday, Dec. 20, in a local hospital in Longview. He was born in Fisher, was a retired inspector of production machine parts. He belonged to the First Assembly of God Church, and was a Petty Officer First Class, U.S. Navy, WWII, and was at Pearl Harbor on Dec. 12. He is survived by his wife, Edna Rials; one son, Richard and wife ReNell of Durant, Okla.; one brother, Luke Rials of Richland, Pa.; four sisters, Inez Strahan of Many, Bert Hopkins, also of Many, Pauline Neal of Florien, and Edith Murray of Sulphur; three grandchildren, Robin Seagraves of Altus, Okla., Ruth Rials, also of Altus, Okla., Rusty Rials of Durant, Okla.; two great grandchildren, Danielle, and Jennifer Seagraves; and many nieces and nephews.
