Jim Rains

  Funeral services for Jim Rains, 91, of Many were held May 1 at Bayou Scie Methodist
Church, with the Rev. Willis Greer officiating. Burial was in Bayou Scie Cemetery, under
the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home of Many. Pallbearers were Ted Adair, Morris
Adair, Cecil Tooke, S. L. Campbell, Paddie Barr, and Darrell Lehr.

  Rains died April 30, in Many, after an extended illness.

  Survivors include five sons, Jim C. Rains of Monroe, Joe and Clyde and Leslie, all of
Zwolle, and Louie Rains of Washington; two daughters, Mrs. Edgar Skinner of Belmont and
Mrs. Luther Cooper of San Marcos, Tex.; a brother, Ike Rains of Pleasant Hill; 21
grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren.
