The Sabine Index - John R. Rains

  28 Dec 1934 - John R. Rains, progressive farmer of Route Two,
succumbed Monday, December 24, in Laredo, Texas where he had gone
for treatment of cancer.

  Funeral services were held Thursday, with interment in the
Jerusalem cemetery.

  Mr. Rains spent his entire life in the Mt. Freedom community.

  The time of the funeral services was one o'clock with Rev. Frank
Laurence conducting the last rites.

  He is survived by three children, Euna, Houston and Josie, three
half-brothers and two half-sisters, Dan Davis, Lee Mains, Jack
Holoway, Mrs. Joe Veuleman, and Mrs. Nell During.
