The Sabine Index - Houston Rains 
  
  12 Mar 1948 - Houston Rains, age 37, constable of ward four, 
passed on at Fraser sanitarium. Burial rites were conducted from 
Mr. Freedom Baptist church 2:30 p.m. Tuesday by Rev. W. M. Greer, 
pastor Calvary Baptist church, Many. Interment was in Jerusalem 
cemetery under direction Massingill funeral home. 
  
  Surviving relatives include: his widow, Mrs. Houston Rains, 
Many; son, Johnny Lee Rains, Many; daughter, Caroline Jean Rains, 
Many; sisters, Mrs. J. E. Gaddis, Spring Ridge, Mrs. J. W. 
Canton, Houston, Texas.
